Making the world a better bound place…..

Filed under: Adventure Reports — Suzanne SxySadist @ 9:16 am

In case I haven’t mentioned it lately .. I love rope bondage. :) And I really love teaching others to tie each other up so this past week was especially wonderful for me because I got to teach not just one but two fun interactive workshops! (Sorry there are no pics from the classes but umm privacy issues and all ya know)

Wednesday evening I went into NYC to teach a 90 minute class for TES (The Eulenspiegel Society) about “Adaptable Bondage”. This class focuses on ties that can be adjusted to fit people of any size, shape or degree of ability. This is a fairly new class for me where I am demonstrating ties that are not exactly classic or traditional.  They are quick and easy bastardized ties that I do every day on my clients (who sadly are not teensy bendy Japanese bondage models).

I had several people that were brand new to rope so it was tough fitting in everything that I wanted to show them but in general everyone seemed to have a great time. :)  I especially loved some of the thank yous & comments that I received on my feedback sheets and in follow up emails that said that classes like this were greatly needed and that they got more out of this class than any other they had done!  Yay!   That is what makes it all worthwhile for me.  :)

I of course stayed for the after meeting round table that TES is famous for and it was an pretty interesting discussion centered mostly on “switch” issues and dynamics.   I finally got in around 2 am and spent the next hour or 2 unwinding from the class and the drive.

Then I spent Thurs and Fri prepping my notes and packing up everything I might possibly need for my weekend on Long Island.  My Leather Dave (who is also sometimes Dawn)  had set up a 6 hour bondage workshop at his home out toward the east end of Long Island. He had been trying to get me to come visit on the island for quite awhile and I just couldn’t seem to make the time to do it so he advertised all over the place and drew about a dozen or so people who were mostly new but a few intermediate riggers.  We held the first part of the workshop out on his deck and it turned out to be a beautiful day for it in spite of the rain the night before. By the early afternoon we needed to move off the deck onto blankets on the shaded grass.

I covered a ton of stuff (at least partially thanks to help from my bondage model and teaching assistant Brett)! We started off talking about rigger and bottom motivations and how that can greatly effect the outcome of the scene. We also of course discussed safety and rope selection / care and the 4 basic knots you must know to do bondage: overhand, larks head, half hitch, and square / reef (or hell granny works too in a pinch).

Then we covered my two favorite basic cuffs: the boola boola or japanese cuff (that I like to call the wrap, over, under, tie cuff) and a standing line lark cuff (wrap, hook, change direction, hook, hitch). Hmm guess you had to be there. :)  But once we had those down we played with a tie that combined those two elements that can be used as either a foot or a hand suspension cuff.

After our lunch break we dove into what I jokingly call the lunch ties that coincidentally also used the same two cuffs I had shown that morning: chicken wing, frog leg and crab leg. From there we covered wrist together ties that were attached to the body low (crotch), middle (hara / waist), high(throat) and then over the head with the hands and using the rest of the rope to do a simple chest harness. I showed them my favorite modification on a hojo jutsu tie that makes a really comfortable hands behind the back harness no matter how flexible or inflexible the intended victim is. :)  Then I showed them how to take that chest tie and turn it into a hog tie that doesn’t put added strain on the wrists!

Somewhere in there we also did a more traditional shinju that went over the arms as well as the variation that went under the arms for those that needed the more comfortable, more forgiving version. :)  I showed them a few of my other down and dirty tricks and cheats that I use when I am trying to be quick and efficient with the bondage so I can get onto other things as well as one of my favorite pearls; my $1000.00 knot (aka the taut line hitch)!  According to the feedback sheets that was the favorite of a few of them as well).

All in all it was an amazing day but I was totally exhausted by the time I was done and glad to spend a quiet dinner with my Brett, Dave and his new charge: Sue.  Later on that evening we gave her a bit of special treatment that was quite a treat for us! :D Slept like a baby with my sweetie and had hoped to hit the beach the next day but it was crappy out so we hugged kissed thanked Dave and parted ways.  I visited my sister and her boyfriend on the way back west and tried to get off the island fairly early.

I hit the road from Lindenhurst at 1p and spent a good 40 mins stuck in bridge traffic due to the fire damage at the Throgs Neck but got thru that pretty well until I hit a really big mess on the Taconic.  They we diverting all traffic off in both directions and I found out much later on that it was due to a truly tragic accident that involved 8 deaths, four of them young children!!  So as miserable as it was being stuck in yet another traffic jam, the reason why really helped put it in perspective for me. http://www.wcbs880.com/Crash-Kills-Eight/4875339: (  That was so sad and it just makes me wonder how the hell you can have two cars in the same day travel the wrong way down a divided highway!?  How the hell does that happen and what can be done to stop it in the future??

Ughhh anyway, I did finally get home, unpack and unwind a little then went to my buddy Mike’s around the block for a mini workout and a dip in the pool! I really needed to burn and then rinse off some of that stress of sitting so long in traffic.  All in all I had an amazing weekend and I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to so many people for making it so. (thanks everyone!) I wanted to get this update out because this week looks to be pretty busy in the dungeon! (Yay because making money is good too!) Ok time to hit the shower and get ready to play!  :)

On the men’s room wall..

Filed under: Just For Laughs — Suzanne SxySadist @ 2:44 pm

So OMG this one cracked me up! I absolutely LOVE the expressions on the faces and of course am sitting here trying to figure out what they each was trying to convey.  I see looks of disdain, amusement, mockery and at least one that seems rather surprised in a good way … like “Wow who would have though you were packing that sort of surprise!”

What they need next are a selection of audio clips that will give the gents a little dose of what they crave.  Perhaps a Domme voice asking if he had permission to touch that or perhaps a giggly voice doing a bit of small dick humiliation.  What captions wopuld brighten your day? :)

KMen's Room Mural

Here’s the story that came with it:
Edge Designs is an all-women run  company that designs interior office space. They had  a recent opportunity to do an office project  in NYC.
The client allowed the women of  this company a free hand in all design aspects. The client  was a company that was also run by all women  execs.

The result? Well, we all  know that men never talk, never look at each other, (I  personally wouldn’t know this) and never laugh much in the  restroom. The men’s room is a serious and quiet  place..but now…with the addition of one mural on the wall……lets just say the men’s restroom is a place of  laughter and smiles.

Human Statue of Liberty

Filed under: Simply Blogging — Suzanne SxySadist @ 6:35 am

I know that the 4th of July has come and gone but I just had to share this cool photo with you. Acoording to the person that sent it to me:

This INCREDIBLE picture was taken in 1918. It is 18,000 men preparing for war in a training camp at Camp Dodge, in Iowa.

Human Statue of LibertyFACTS:
Base to Shoulder: 150 feet
Right Arm: 340 feet
Widest part of arm holding torch: 12 1/2 feet
Right thumb: 35 feet
Thickest part of body: 29 feet
Left hand length: 30 feet
Face: 60 feet
Nose: 21 feet
Longest spike of head piece: 70 feet
Torch and flame combined: 980 feet
Number of men in flame of torch: 12,000
Number of men in torch: 2,800
Number of men in right arm: 1,200
Number of men in body, head and balance of figure only: 2,000

Total men: 18,000

Yes - that really says eightteen THOUSAND men! Wow huh? So maybe I impress easily but I really love how he used different colored uniforms and hats vresus no hats etc to give the level of detai that this has on top of working out the distances and number of people needed to give the proper shape and perspective! Pretty cool stuff!

Ok that’s all for today .. ohhh except I have a playdate with my favorite 6 year old later so life is REALLY good today. :D

July rolls in with a bang and a few splashes

Filed under: Personal Reflections — Suzanne SxySadist @ 10:55 pm

fireworkspokHere’s a quick recap of a truly fabulous weekend: My buddy Mike AKA “Motorcycle Mike” is one of my best friends and lives about four blocks awa.  I hang out at his place an average of 2 - 3 times a week because he has a really well equipped home gym and I have been telling him for a long time now that he would have the best gym in town if he had a pool and a hot tub.  (I don’t have enough yard for a damn pool)  :(  Boo hoo!

Hell I told him I would even consider doubling my current membership dues if he added one or both of those, which of course is truly generous of me considering I pay no dues now so twice that would still not break the bank too badly. :) <ha ha> Anyway, so Mikey called me up around lunch time on Friday to say he was finally going to put up the pool I have been pestering him for and he wanted to know if I would be willing to come “pick up some sticks to help with that”.

Well I was dressed and there about 20 mins later and the “sticks” as he put it was actually a couple of piles of leaves and brances almost as tall as I am that were the remains of a tree that he and his buddy ripped out of the ground with a pick up truck that morning! Umm yeah he does nothing the easy way. :) So I proceeded to spend the next couple of hours cutting these branches down to size and stuffing them into barrels and bags to be hauled away.  By the time my darling Brett had arrived and I roped him into helping with the next stage of the project which incluided digging up a 20 foot round patch of soil and trying our best to level it off.

We jetted off to Home Depot to rent a rototiller to help with that goal and we and a few other friends all ended up busting our butts for the rest of the evening but succeeded with getting the pool up and relatively level! By the next day (July 4th) it was pretty much full (8000 gallons goes quick when you are running 2 hoses thanks to one of the neighbors help) and we had a lovely afternoon get together withg Mike, some of his family, the neighbors, me and my sweetie and a couple other mutual friends.

Later that evening, Brett and I and my neice and nephew walked down to Wayras Park to check out the fireworks display over the hudson river. We were remarkably close to the action! So close in fact that the people in front of us had a chunk of still smoldering firework fall on the jacket one of them was sitting on and they had to beat it out. :) It was really amazingly beautiful and romantic and fun being so close and snuggling almost directly under the display!

Sadly though I heard that not everyone that attended had quite as lovely an evening. I read that there were dozens of people who had their cars parked at the nearby Poughkeepsie train station who returned to find their car paint jobs ruined by the falling embers and ash!  I was really sorry to hear so many people had trouble but boy was I glad we left my little Versa home safe and sound!

img00060Sunday my sweetheart decided to treat me to something a bit different and so he took me to check out the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome to see the airshow.  This is something special for Brett because he fondly remembers going as a young teen over 35 years ago and pretty surprised to discover that the show hadn’t changed all that much in three and a half decades! Even the names of the charcters were the same! OK so I thought it was a bit cheesey but it was very educational and I saw some really amazing old planes that I could hardly belive were still getting off the ground! I took a bunch of pics but will just share one of them with you here.

Monday I decided to take my neice and nephew to the Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom in Lake George. It was a perfect day weather wise and we all had a really great time! I admit to being a bit of a wimp with some of the roller coaster type rides, (I don’t do upside down or backwards) but since my neice is a whcko speed junkie and guilt tripped me I did find the courage to go on Sasquatch which drops you like 15 stories straight down and the Comet which was one wicked fast scary but “normal” roller coaster with her!  My favoriet though were the water rides! I went on every single one! The Tornado was truly a trip where you get dumped into a giant funnel that rocks you back and forth until you finally shoot out the bottom into a big pool! Ohh and the Black Cobra which shoots you down a twisty turny tube in a total black out! Whew !!  We did something like 8 full hours in the park and a 5 hour round trip drive but when we got home we all decided to hit the shower and go down to Mulligan’s for a few drinks and to check out Nadia’s friend TC’s band and some of her other friend’s at open mic night.

It was a really great action packed and totally fun weekend but I was actually really grateful to have a quiet day today to catch up on mail and stuff! Ohh and I signed on officially to do Folsom Fringe ‘09 in San Jose CA Sept 25 - 28!
