I had a really good weekend out in CA presenting for “Folsom Fringe 09” and attending the world famous street fair for several hours on Sunday and so here is a recap of thoughts and highlights.

Thursday my sweetie got me off the the airport in plenty of time and I just knew I was going to miss the hell out of him. I don’t do a lot of events “stag” any more. I really love being with my Brett. I love the service and support he gives me. I love his light hearted demeanor and his adorable smiling face. And I love the way we play together.   But the air to CA wasn’t in the budget for both of us so off I went on my own. 

Smooth trip; direct flight from JFK to San Jose CA.  Jet Blue is in my top 5 carriers for a few reasons. Got my bags together and went to the shuttle area and proceeded to spend at least an hour trying to get a reasonably affordable ride to the hotel. Ugh! But in the end M Sol sent me some rescuers that picked me up and brought me over. Yay! Checked in to the host hotel; The Domain - nice place. Dropped my bags and went straight to the bar. There were a bunch of folks I knew there and I met several others.

While there I hooked up Mark Yu and Cecily DeVille of The Jade Gatein Portland Oregon.  I have known Mark for about 6 years and am very fond of him. He has a vast wealth of knowledge about acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, pressure points, the way chi moves through the body and so much more and he knows and teaches people precisely how to use all of that knowledge to cause pain and suffering that can also be beneficial to the body.  I LOVE that and would highly recommend his classes to anyone.

I had called ahead of time as always to book some “needle time” with him and usually get several treatments throughout a weekend.  We went up to his room for the first which was the perfect nightcap to the first evening. 

Friday morning - still on NY time - woke up way too early.  Chilled in my room w/my Ipod, did some email, had breakfast buffet with Mick & Dee Luvbight.  God I love those two. Got some more needle time with MYu and went to a couple of classes. Jim Duvall and Sophia Sky did a nice class on “Non verbal Communication” which I know a fair bit about but love other people’s takes on familiar topics. And then I went to Mark DV8’s ”Advanced Floorwork” class and got to follow along on his wife, my friend Aleni as he did one of his signature ties on his “flygirl” Lani.  Wow that is a complex but beautiful tie! Anyway after that I did my Intention Connection class and there was a slight irritation as I discovered that they had misnamed the class in the book so people that didn’t read the description had a skewed view of what the class would be about - but the folks that came and stayed seemed to enjoy the class anyway. :)  So it’s all good.

There were definitely some organizational glitches for the event and if you were predisposed to be annoyed or pissed you would have had enough to be thoroughly miserable about but I was in my “happy go lucky - polly anna head space” and so I managed to keep my chin up and a smile on for most of the weekend.

I loved dinner times - Friday Night I went to the sushi house w/a group of really cool folks: Jim Duvall & Sophia Sky, Max and his guest,  Adrienne Evey, and Allena Gabosh of The Center for Sex Positive Culture. Great conversations, delicious sushi and excellent prices! Sat and Sunday I had delicious dinners with MYu and Cecily one night at a great little Thai place and one night at a place called the “Fish Market”.

Back to the really main event - playtime.  I met and bonded with Jim Duvall a couple of years ago and had a scene where he “beat the crap” out of me with “a big stick” and literally had bruises for at least a month afterwards. He is really damn good at it. He understands the way I use my breath to process pain and reads my body language fabulously so it was as if he could tell exactly how hard to hit me and when. It was amazing and wonderful and so cathartic for me, and I so needed that! He saved a spot in his dance card for me on Friday night and treated me to another very similar scene.  Wow! Holy shit and wow again!!  I screamed and cursed and laughed and cried and called him names and through it all he kept smiling his sexy “mean man” smile and hitting me with that thick chunk of bamboo. My thighs are completely black, blue, purple, and magenta, front and back front the curve of my ass to 3 inches above my knees and I will likely still have some evidence of this one for a month.  4 days after the fact .. I feel a bit sore but probably no where near as bad and most folks would assume from the look of it.  I considered posting a photo but decided against it for now but I will suffice it to say that it was an amazing release for me and I am really happy and relaxed right now.

Sat I went to Mark’s trampling class and learned a few new ways to use my feet and places to create sensation. I went to Aleni DV8’s “In’s Outs and Round abouts of CBT” (more on Aleni later) and I went to Jim Duvall’s “Rape and Abduction play” class which confirmed that he is a delisciously ”sick fuck” and wished for the first time that I had never met him before which may sound weird considering how much I loved playing with him the night before but anyone that was in the class would understand why I say that. ;) My ”Ecstatic Breathing” class followed and I had a nice turn out of folks that came to learn how to use their breath in different ways which I really love to teach.

Sat night .. I had the distinct honor of playing with Aleni DV8. She is a beautifully expressive and responsive bottom and it didn’t take long for her to get warmed up and wiggling sensually at the end of my favorite 4 foot signal whip! We had a delightful time together and when I returned her to her Master Mark DV8 at the end of the evening I thanked him again for the honour and trust he showed me.  I really enjoy knowing the DV8 clan who I met and usually see at Shibaricon.  I have wished a few times I could afford travel to Australia to visit them and sight see the “land down under.”  Maybe someday huh?

 By the time time Sunday rolled around I was feeling pretty tired.  Surprise huh?  I had to get my luggage out of my room and my friends Mark and Cecily let me store it in theirs, quick breakfast and onto the bus… 30 mins or so from San Jose to San Fran.  Chatted the whole time to a really lovely and sweet girl who goes by “OTK Blondie”.  Then I wandered around Folsom Street Fairfor hours, marvelling at the sights like hot naked gay twister, and the amazing costumes! Checking out the fabulous vendors, and although I did almost no shopping I made a nice little mental wish list. I also bumped into folks I know here and there and at one point my buddy Charly B offered to let me throw one of the great nylon whips he made at his lovely escort and next thing I know we ended up doing a scene for at least 30 mins right there in the street! She was totally fucking hot and sexy and I loved making her dance too!  What a day!

But my early afternoon my feet were really tired and decided to catch the first bus back to the hotel. Relaxed, had some sake, took a shower and enjoyed dinner with my friends and got a ride back to SJC airport with “Smiling Guy Mike”. (Huge thanks again for the shuttle rides!)  

Jet Blue did right by me again going home. Breezed through check in with no hassle even though my bag was a couple pounds over. <grin> I must be living right huh? I had fully intended on sleeping the whole way home but they offered the premium movie channels for free since the Direct TV was on the fritz and so I ended up zoning out to a cute little Sandra Bullock flick (I like her a lot) for the first 2 hours or so and then another adorable comedy with Eddie Murphy and a kid and well before I knew it I was almost home. 

I started thinking about the fact that I knew my Brett was going to be waiting for me there, I how much I missed him and couldn’t wait to see him to tell him all about my weekend and show him the aftermath of “Hurricane Jim”.  I ran to him and he kissed just like in the movies!  <grin> Then helped me get my bags and took me home, tucked me in and let me sleep while he unpacked my toys, did my laundry and picked up some groceries. When I woke up I spent a lazy day settling back in and later that night he made me fillet mignon and lobster for dinner and I fell asleep again watching an old British comedy with my sweetie.

Today I am taking my time catching up, checking in with some folks, still a bit sore but really happy.  I am so blessed and thank you for caring about me or being curious enough to read this. I wish you the best and will check back in here soon.

Whew! Really sweet weekend! “Adventures in Sexuality” by the “Columbus Ohio Perversion Excursion” or “AIS COPE” for short is a fairly small event but one that has definitely gotten kinky fun down to a science!

I am not even sure what to comment on first! The organizers Sir Barak & Brat Sheba are delightful hosts and their top notch staff and volunteer crew were really well organized and took care of everything!  The hotel was very nice! In fact one of the best parts was that we had an entire “chocolate wing” to ourselves that was accessible directly from the conference areas so you didn’t have to dress or pass through any hotel common areas to get back to your room at night after the play party! That was really delightful!

The meal package was delicious and well worth the cost. The only hotel downsides for me was that the pool was closed that weekend and there was no hot tea service available at the complimentary coffee bar and I REALLY LOVE my tea!

This actually worked out OK because it got me out of the hotel at least twice a day to walk across the street to Kroger’s supermarket to patronize their in house Starbucks.  And as it turns out I totally fell in love with Kroger’s! It is the prettiest damn supermarket I ever saw! I loved the decor (wooden end caps and panelling!) and all of the cute little employees looked so sweet in their white shirts and ties! Totally cute and definitely jail bait…  but I digress!

So uhh yeah.. we had a LOT of fun at this event!  Friday night I suspended and played with my sweetheart early in the evening. Later on that night he and I took turns throwing some signal whips at each other for a bit. Saturday during the day there was a full schedule of classes in 5 time slots but that was it for classes because there were none scheduled for Sunday.  I taught two: Binding the Jewels and Ecstatic Percussion Play. Both were well attended and a lot of fun.  He and I also went to two great classes together and then after dinner rested up just a bit and hit the dungeon. 

Our friend Boom asked if I would suspend the truly lovely lady accompanying him to the event. I discovered that it would be her first suspension and he wanted to make sure that she would be safe and have an enjoyable experience losing that “cherry”.  I was naturally honored and delighted!  I started off tying her in a face down, low to the ground tie but the pressure on her chest was a bit too much for her so I switched up and rigged her into a seated suspension that she found far more comfortable and umm stimulating. OK well maybe it was the energetic use of a battery operated vibe that contributed to that stimulation but I do know one things for sure .. we all had a hell of a good time! :) 

Later on that evening my darling Brett  leaned me up against an angled “spider web” that I covered with sheepskin and began to flog and cane me into ecstasy! Mmm he was really wonderful and I really needed that! He was reading me wonderfully and watching every move I made, giving me lighter and heavier strokes with perfect timing.  There was this one magical moment that really blew me away though. I was laying back into the sheepskin, arms outstretched and dancing in ecstasy and he knealt down before me on one knee as he lightly caned the front of my thighs and looked up into my eyes adoringly. 

LOL It was the most delicious mix of emotions and sensations .. I had such pride that my “sub” was looking so beautiful before me and yet that expression adoration humbles me every time I see it in his eyes.  And it was deliciously contradictory for him to be caning his Mistress from his knees,(although in that moment … that was the absolute BEST way he could have served me!) I was totally turned on and juiced and in fact at one point I grabbed him by his shirt spun him up and back against the sheep and then hooked my feet into the chains scaling the “wall” until I was practically sitting on him. Maybe you had to be there.. but trust me when I say it was hot! In fact I got several comments from folks who told me they loved watching us play which of course is always nice to hear! 

Sunday morning we slept in and packed up at leisure. It was actually nice to be able to do that because, well we had a 10 hour drive home and as much fun as it is to get away sometimes… I really like curling up with my sweetheart in our own bed at night.

Anyway .. I had a really wonderful time and I would highly recommend any event sponsored by COPE, in fact the next one they are doing is called “Winter Wickedness” and will be held in early Feb.  I am hoping to check it out but winter travel can be a bitch so we’ll see! In case I haven’t mentioned it lately .. I love rope bondage. And I really love teaching others to tie each other up so this past week was especially wonderful for me because I got to teach not just one but two fun interactive workshops! (Sorry there are no pics from the classes but umm privacy issues and all ya know)

Wednesday evening I went into NYC to teach a 90 minute class for TES (The Eulenspiegel Society) about “Adaptable Bondage”. This class focuses on ties that can be adjusted to fit people of any size, shape or degree of ability. This is a fairly new class for me where I am demonstrating ties that are not exactly classic or traditional.  They are quick and easy bastardized ties that I do every day on my clients (who sadly are not teensy bendy Japanese bondage models). 

I had several people that were brand new to rope so it was tough fitting in everything that I wanted to show them but in general everyone seemed to have a great time. :)  I especially loved some of the thank yous & comments that I received on my feedback sheets and in follow up emails that said that classes like this were greatly needed and that they got more out of this class than any other they had done!  Yay!   That is what makes it all worthwhile for me. 

I of course stayed for the after meeting round table that TES is famous for and it was an pretty interesting discussion centered mostly on “switch” issues and dynamics.   I finally got in around 2 am and spent the next hour or 2 unwinding from the class and the drive.

Then I spent Thurs and Fri prepping my notes and packing up everything I might possibly need for my weekend on Long Island.  My Leather Dave (who is also sometimes Dawn)  had set up a 6 hour bondage workshop at his home out toward the east end of Long Island. He had been trying to get me to come visit on the island for quite awhile and I just couldn’t seem to make the time to do it so he advertised all over the place and drew about a dozen or so people who were mostly new but a few intermediate riggers.  We held the first part of the workshop out on his deck and it turned out to be a beautiful day for it in spite of the rain the night before. By the early afternoon we needed to move off the deck onto blankets on the shaded grass.

I covered a ton of stuff (at least partially thanks to help from my bondage model and teaching assistant Brett)! We started off talking about rigger and bottom motivations and how that can greatly effect the outcome of the scene. We also of course discussed safety and rope selection / care and the 4 basic knots you must know to do bondage: overhand, larks head, half hitch, and square / reef (or hell granny works too in a pinch).

Then we covered my two favorite basic cuffs: the boola boola or japanese cuff (that I like to call the wrap, over, under, tie cuff) and a standing line lark cuff (wrap, hook, change direction, hook, hitch). Hmm guess you had to be there. :)  But once we had those down we played with a tie that combined those two elements that can be used as either a foot or a hand suspension cuff.  

After our lunch break we dove into what I jokingly call the lunch ties that coincidentally also used the same two cuffs I had shown that morning: chicken wing, frog leg and crab leg. From there we covered wrist together ties that were attached to the body low (crotch), middle (hara / waist), high(throat) and then over the head with the hands and using the rest of the rope to do a simple chest harness. I showed them my favorite modification on a hojo jutsu tie that makes a really comfortable hands behind the back harness no matter how flexible or inflexible the intended victim is. :)  Then I showed them how to take that chest tie and turn it into a hog tie that doesn’t put added strain on the wrists! 

Somewhere in there we also did a more traditional shinju that went over the arms as well as the variation that went under the arms for those that needed the more comfortable, more forgiving version. :)  I showed them a few of my other down and dirty tricks and cheats that I use when I am trying to be quick and efficient with the bondage so I can get onto other things as well as one of my favorite pearls; my $1000.00 knot (aka the taut line hitch)!  According to the feedback sheets that was the favorite of a few of them as well).  

All in all it was an amazing day but I was totally exhausted by the time I was done and glad to spend a quiet dinner with my Brett, Dave and his new charge: Sue.  Later on that evening we gave her a bit of special treatment that was quite a treat for us! Slept like a baby with my sweetie and had hoped to hit the beach the next day but it was crappy out so we hugged kissed thanked Dave and parted ways.  I visited my sister and her boyfriend on the way back west and tried to get off the island fairly early. 

I hit the road from Lindenhurst at 1p and spent a good 40 mins stuck in bridge traffic due to the fire damage at the Throgs Neck but got thru that pretty well until I hit a really big mess on the Taconic.  They we diverting all traffic off in both directions and I found out much later on that it was due to a truly tragic accident that involved 8 deaths, four of them young children!!  So as miserable as it was being stuck in yet another traffic jam, the reason why really helped put it in perspective for me. http://www.wcbs880.com/Crash-Kills-Eight/4875339: (  That was so sad and it just makes me wonder how the hell you can have two cars in the same day travel the wrong way down a divided highway!?  How the hell does that happen and what can be done to stop it in the future??

Ughhh anyway, I did finally get home, unpack and unwind a little then went to my buddy Mike’s around the block for a mini workout and a dip in the pool! I really needed to burn and then rinse off some of that stress of sitting so long in traffic.  All in all I had an amazing weekend and I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to so many people for making it so. (thanks everyone!) I wanted to get this update out because this week looks to be pretty busy in the dungeon! (Yay because making money is good too!) Ok time to hit the shower and get ready to play! 

So this month’s rope gathering was fabulous fun! I had a bunch of local friends as well some from New Hamphsire, Connecticut, and NYC come all the way here to sling some rope around and visit with like minded folks. In all I think there were about a dozen here this time of all skill levels although most were more in the intermediate range this time. 

One of the high lights of the day was when my friend Dez of Darkstone NH asked if I would suspend him. 

Although he is quite the dominant and has done a lot of suspension work himself he believes as I do that there is tremendous value in experiencing what something feels like yourself so that you can better understand what the bottom / submissive is feeling.  

We were sure to capture the moment on “film” as this is definitely one of those “no one would believe it if they didn’t see it” moments. :)  Afterwards we threw some burgers and dogs on the grill and had a pot luck barbeque.  It was a really great day and I am very much looking forward to doing it again soon!

Happy summer everyone! Now that the warmer weather is upon us I have been feeling friskier than usual and have decided it is time to see about enticing some more folks out to play professionally and otherwise.  Here are a few of my current thoughts and offerings:

Rope Club Gathering - Last month I held a small gathering (10 people or so) of folks interested in erotic rope bondage. My hope is to offer this on an on-going (monthly) basis so that those  interested in improving their rope bondage skills can get together to practice, share tips and tricks, and in general spend time with other bondage enthusiasts.  The next one will be held on June 21st from 1 - 430p or so.  There is no charge for this event but you are welcome to bring a snack or beverage to share for the break (fruit, cookies etc).  Couples and singles  are welcome but I cannot gaurentee that singles will be partnered up (let alone with a preferred gender) .  This not intended to be a dating service, or play party.  If interested drop me a note to Mistress@SxySadist.com

Charity Raffle - I really enjoy helping those who are less fortunate or in need and generally contribute money to various charities  through out the year.  I am especially fond of children’s charities: The Smile Train, Make a Wish, Cystic Fibrosis, St Jude’s etc. Unfortunately I have had less funds to do so recently but one of my favroite playmates came up with a really cool idea that I really like - a charity raffle! Here’s the gist: I buy a roll of raffle tickets and offer them to people interested in either live sessions or private lessons at like $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00.  Once I sell $250.00 worth I throw the tickets into a hat (or sexy stilleto heel) and draw the name of a lucky winner. 

I would love it if the idea takes off and I can do it like every other month but I know that every little bit helps so even once a year would be a great start! So umm in case I haven’t mentioned it before… I am a huge rope bondage fan and I recently aquired some fabulous new books and DVDs for my collection by reknowned rope Master Arisue Go.  His web store is located at   http://www.jugoya.com/ where I picked up “Arisue’s Kinbaku Theory And Practices” as well as both Part one and two of his “Book of Five Rings for Rope Arts”.   Although they are naturally written in Japanese the photos and diagrams are not only beautiful but also really easy to follow so I would highly reccomend these books to anyone interested in exanding their knowledge and skill in the art of japanese bondage.

I also ordered the Bakushi video and that has proved to be a bit more of a hassle.  It is in Pal format as opposed to the NTSC which makes watching it on a standard US DVD drive a bit of a problem but the wonderful folks on the ARA (Adult Rope Art) Yahoo list came to the rescue with some suggestions so that my wonderful partner could get that squared away for me. Yayy!!  Again .. I so wish I understood japanese but watching the Masters at work is wonderful! Ohh and did I mention that all of them were autographed by the Master himself? :) 

And in case you are hesitant to order over the internet to a company in Japan  I want to tell you with out a doubt that the customer service was amazing!! Less than an hour after I placed the order, I was VERY impressed to get a personal (not computer generated) confirmation email at an ungodly hour (middle of the night for them) on the weekend and my books were in my hands less than a week later! They also sent a wonderful follow up email to make sure that I was pleased and refunded a portion of my shipping since actual shipping was less than expected.  Amazing!

Flower & Snake - While I was at it I ordered a remake of the japanese cult classic “Flower & Snake” in which Master Arisue appears and did all of the rope work. I was delighed that this one was in NTSC format which allowed me to view it with out any problem.  It is a great film with pretty hot fantasy story line about a woman that is basicallty sold into slavery by her husband and then bound, tortured and forced to perform in live sex and bondage shows for rich perverts. 

Update May 11 - I have just heard that they are offering a new book with black and white photos but translated to english! Hooray!  I pre- ordered it immediately and have been told that it will be shipped on or about May 27th! Just in time for me to get home from Shibaricon! Woohooo!  

Rope Club - When I was at Vassar a few weeks ago I asked the students that attended my class if they would be interested in attending an on - going rope club if it was offered and I got a decent amount of interest. I also threw it out as an idea on the local HVDS (Hudson Valley Ds) list to see if I could get a few local bondage enthusiasts to come out and play and got some interest there as well.  So… I am quite pleased to say that the first gathering of this fledgling rope club will be in my home this coming Sunday from 1 - 430 or so and I am very excited!  If you have an interest in improving or sharing your bondage skills and would like to join us .. drop me a note! A Special Gift - Ohhh and one more thing … “Quill” one of my readers and someone whom I have have chatted with off and on for ever sent me a little guitar melody the other day that I really enjoyed and I wanted to share it with you with his blessing. It is entitled: “Suze mornings with her sweetie” and he said that “This one is inspired by the special moments with your sweetheart that you’ve mentioned. think of it as a musical portrait of the close connection you share in the afterglow of play.”  Awww, isn’t that sweet?? A lot has happened since I stopped by last, so let me try to give you the highlights in a nutshell!

Darkstone- My second trip to New Hampshire was a delight! My friend Dez is a fabulous host and and he definitely took really great care of Brett and me! There was great food including a succulent ham, deviled eggs, carrot cake (all good Easter Fare) and even some sushi (my favorite)! There was a good size gathering of people for both classes even though both topics are rather edgy: “Needle Play the Basics and Beyond” and “Breath and Blood Flow Play”.  After the classes it opened up to a play party and I spent a little time giving some more personal instruction on a couple of ropey things.  Dez did a beautiful side lying suspension on Jillian. He has really thrown himself into learning rope and it is just amazing how good he has gotten in just over a year!  A bit later in the evening he invited me in on a double top scene involving two wonderful ladies.  It was so much fun to co top with him for the first time and to just be in the moment reading their bodies and responding to their energies.  Afterwards I got to suspend and play a little with my sweetheart Brett.  I really love that guy, especially in rope! And the low to the ground suspension has truly become my favorite for obvious reasons to anyone that watched us play. <blush>  :)  Even later on there was a really beautiful fire spinning demo outside on the lawn which was a delight to watch.  There was also a memorable single tail scene where the bottom danced and moved so beautifully at the end of her Master’s whip…it was really just stunning!  And to round off the evening for me I helped dish out some birthday spanks for the lovely Lady D!  Mmmm  what a great night! We slept like stones and then were treated to a delicious Easter Sunday breakfast before the 4 hour trek home. 

Vassar- A few days later I was at Vassar College once again teaching a basic bondage class to the students.  Brett came up from the island just to be there and we took my niece Nadia along so she could meet a few more people in the area her age.  It was a small but enthusiastic crowd and I offered them a nice selection of simple but useful ties.  I even got to use my niece as a bondage model for a few of the ties and Brett snapped this shot of her for her My Space page. I am not sure what photo-shop tool she used to make herself look so ghostly but it was still a fun memory and I asked her not to tell her mom just yet.  :)

When the 3 hour class was drawing to a close I offered to set up a monthly “rope club” to meet in my home where we could continue to practice and build our skills on an on-going basis and got a list of about 10 who said it sounded like fun. Perhaps if interest in that grows I will eventually find a larger venue to hold the class in and open it up to even more area bondage lovers.  If you have any interest in such a one Sunday a month .. drop me a note at Mistress@SxySadist.com

Shibaricon- Hmm, what else? Ohh well speaking of classes that has been a late bit of shuffling for Shibaricon and I have been asked if I would be willing to do my “Binding the Jewels” class (which is one of my favorite classes to teach) so I said yes but dropped one of the two suspension classes I was going to do and am keeping the “Low Flying Suspension” class. Three classes is plenty for me at an event and Diana wants me to still keep the ever popular “Ecstatic Breath” class.  I want to be able to attend as many classes by other presenters as I can too!  I love learning as much as I can about rope from as many people as I am able. Just about everyone I have ever seen teach a rope class has something unique to share, some little thing that they do that is special or different and I just love picking up those sweet little tips and tricks!

AIS COPE- Speaking of classes and events, I have confirmed with Barak & Sheba that I will be attending and presenting at “Adventures in Sexuality - Central Ohio Perversion Excursion” AIS - COPE for short Sept 11 & 12 in Columbus Ohio! I will be doing “Binding the Jewels” and “Learning to Fly - Ecstatic Percussion Play” which is about using your breathing during a corporal play scene to take you higher and further than ever before.

Ok that mostly catches us up… I had one other sweet little adventure that I will share about separately soon. 

I have been taking a 6 month sabbatical from teaching to rest and catch my breath after the last couple of years of insanity on “the circuit”. Travel is simply not as much fun as it used to be and it can get pretty crazy packing, traveling, teaching, playing, travelling, unpacking, and starting all over again several weekends a month so I guess I got a bit burned out from it all, so I decided to just take a nice long rest.

But spring is in the air (even if that air is pretty cold & wet today) and I have several classes and event upcoming in the next 2 months that warrant a mention.  First up, next weekend I will be in New Hampshire teaching two private edge play classes for my friend Dez and the awesome folks of “Darkstone”. I will be doing my “Breath and Blood Flow Play” class and “Needle Play: Basics and Beyond”, then staying over for a private play party and coming back home Easter Sunday.

Next week, I am once again doing a “hands-on, clothes-on bondage class” for the bright young students of Vassar college sponsored by CHOICE. Their mission statement is as follows:  

CHOICE :  (Campus Health Organization for Information, Contraception and Education) 

“Our mission is to educate the campus about sexual health issues by distributing information about pregnancy, STIs, and contraception and to help to promote safer sex by providing free condoms, latex gloves, dental dams, and lubricant. We are a confidential and non-judgmental organization.  We believe that safer sex and sexual health education are integral to creating a sexually healthy and informed student body at Vassar.”

I love that Vassar is so progressive and allows the students to have such a fabulous and helpful organization! They also have a campus porn magazine called “Squirm” and it is really well done!

Anyway, I have quite a few birthdays to contend with in early to mid May and then my sweetheart and I will be heading off to Chicago for the better part of a week to attend my absolute favorite event of the year!

I have been teaching classes of various kinds for over 10 years now and although I will be the first to admit I have a tendency to be overly self critical at times, the simple truth is if you get up in front of a room full of people often enough, at some point you can just feel that some days you are more on than not. I did 4 classes at Shibaricon and I felt I hit hit 2 of them pretty well out of the park and well two of them didn’t feel like they landed quite as well.

I was feeling sort of down about that this week until I got a couple of emails from people that have been to my classes. Then I decided to peek back at a few other class comments I have received and post a few of them here mainly as a reminder to myself that although I am far from perfect, it is an amazing feeling when I am able to deliver a message that makes a difference in some one’s life. 

Comments from students: “I’ve been using the breathing techniques not only in scene work, but also to calm and center my gf when she gets upset, so thanks again for your wisdom and knowledge.” 

“I was in your ecstatic breathing class kind of mostly following along, but also just being in awe of how many people got it.  That’s an amazing gift… as much as I can feel energy, and can sometimes just touch someone and they can feel it too, or understand… I find it’s very hard for some people to understand. My sweetheart Brett came to stay with me for 4 days last week.  He came out just in time for my Vassar class Thursday night and stayed through very early Tuesday am.  It was really fabulous! I can honestly say that the more time that I spend with him the more I hate it when he has to head back to Long Island.  I really love having him around the house and to be honest I am a bit surprised by just how much I miss him when he goes.  I had been fairly comfortably “single” for several years and I had grown accustomed to having my house pretty much to myself again.  (”slave T”, my live in slave / room mate manages to stay out of my way often enough to still allow me to feel some privacy in the house so that I don’t have to kill him). <grin>

So when Brett started staying for 4 & 5 day stretches, I rather half expected that there would be times when I would start to feel the strain and need to stop myself from saying something like, “Isn’t there somewhere else you are supposed to be yet?” But, well the truth is .. I really love being with him.  <grin>  He is smart, funny and great to talk to.  He can be playful and fun to hang with and yet serious when we need to be.  He helps me in countless ways from puter geek stuff to handy “honey do” stuff around the house (and has rescued my butt in dozens of ways). 

Oh and of course he is also:  

• handsome and sexy as hell,  
• deliciously fun to torture & tie up, 
• getting more & more skilled with a whip & stuff himself all the time, 
• an amazingly thoughtful & talented lover and… 
• one of the best snugglers I have ever met! 

I truly am crazy about this guy and for the first time in over 5 years I can honestly say I am madly and deeply in love again.  Can you believe it?? I was beginning to think that that would never happen again and basically just when I stopped looking for love, there it was. Yayy!!! 

Now, about those flowers….  to celebrate spring my sweetheart and I spent last Monday planting some flowers in the back of the house and in my porch boxes, then today I bought a bunch more bulbs and perennials and slave T and I started working on a few other little plantable pockets of yard.  I love planting flowers in the spring!!  Not a lot of people know this but my mother whom I adored was British and the British are naturally quite well known for gardening.  (Honestly they had to be I think since they are so lousy at cooking!) 

Anyway, every spring when I was growing up my mom would take me to the nursey and we would go crazy buying and planting pansies, impatiens and other pretty coloured flowers to scatter through out her rock garden.  I really cherish those memories of her and that planting ritual is one that still makes me feel close to her.  I was so happy to share that with my Brett and again today with slave T and I can hardly wait til the bulbs I planted today start blooming in the summer! I will be sure to post a pic when they do! Ok that’s all for now.. see ya soon!
