The Rope Share is a bondage workshop that is structured to fit your skill levels and interests. There is one highly skilled rope instructor and one teaching assistant. The attendance will be limited to 12 students.

This month’s Rope Share workshop is a concentrated class for the beginner/novice. The instructor will teach you the basics of safety, negotiations and the elemental ties needed to start your bondage exploration. 

This is a lab-environment setting and we will practice on one another. Please be open to both tie and be tied for the sake of education. Please wear comfortable clothing as there is no nudity during the class.

Bring Rope: 4 lengths of 25ft. rope; 2 lengths of 50ft.; and safety scissors. Cotton, nylon, hemp, and jute are all fine.

By grounding ourselves in this place of Magic, and experiencing gendered behavior as it emerges through us and moves us into action, we can experience gender fluidity as a form of spiritual practice. As we experience the range of vitality in gendered expressions without being bound by them, we are liberated from habitual behaviors. This freedom is the basis of Tantric practice. Experiencing gender fluidity gives us a skillful way of being in relationship while interactive meditation integrates our spiritual practice into our personal lives.

So I was probably the last person on the planet to get a Twitter account because I wasn’t really convinced that I wanted or needed one, but I guess it could be a great tool to keep interested people up to speed on what I am up to between blog posts. So to that end, I added a widget for it here in the side bar…. I hope some of you find those updates interesting. 

So what have I been up to? Well, it’s been a pretty cool couple of weeks around here for the most part. My niece treated me to a very loud, very noisy concert at The Chance not long ago.  They had quite a few bands including: “Semblence of a Soul”, “Tunnels to Holland”, “Hurt” and ”The Sick Puppies”!  Now I fell in love with The “Puppies” song “All the Same” when it was featured in the “Free Hugs” campaign but I was surprised at how dissimilar the rest of their music was to it and had to admit that I am starting to feel old. 

This really hit home for me when my niece slid down into the mosh pit while I scouted for a comfortable pice of post to lean against.  Honestly, standing in one place for 3 to 4 hours is not my cup of tea anymore, but since The Chance is totally general admission - standing room only you don’t get a lot of choice. I still had a good time and I got to get introduced to a couple of bands I had never heard before which inspired me to check out some other music by “Hurt” in particular and discovered that I actually liked some of it. Maybe I am not that damn old after all huh?

In other news, the last rope gathering was a lot of fun as usual! Once again my friends Paul DaSade & wife cc from CT and Dez & a sweet new gal pal from NH came as well as the fabulous Murphy Blue  with his pair of “kitties” and another fun couple from the local area all came to enjoy some sweet ropey time and share some summer fun and a meal. 

I successfully tried two new suspension ties… well one was a transition from sideways to face down which was a bit less graceful than I had hope but still worked.  The other was a full on inverted ankle suspension which is a particular favorite of mt sweeties but the one that makes me the most nervous of any tie I could do for a couple of reasons.  First, inverted suspension obviously is incredibly dangerous.  If anything at all goes wrong, be it mechanical failure or rigger error, the suspendee is likely to get dropped on their head leading to very serious injury or death. The other issue is if my “victim” happens to pass out (and you would be amazed at how fast a person can get woozy being hung upside down), it would be extremely difficult for me to get them down safely from a full inversion by myself. It is not as simple as cut the rope. So I jokingly asked my buddies Paul & Dez if they’d be willing to help me dispose of the body if it the need arose and they totally agreed.  That’s how you REALLY know who your friends are right?

Anyway, I really love the rope gatherings here but my schedule is looking pretty slammed up for Sept & Oct which means I may not be able to hold another until possibly Nov!  I will post more on the upcoming schedule soon but I ).  

Speaking of hectic schedules, this was a really great week in the dungeon and I had a hell of a lot of fun playing with a couple of new people and a couple of new guys. God I love my job! Hell, if you can get paid to do what you love to do you will never work a day in your life right?

Not to mention that some of my guys bring me the loveliest and most thoughtful gifts! This week my buddy Scott brought me two fabulous pairs of boots.  The lovely leather ones in the photo on the right and a very similar pair in sexy black suede! Mm! I was so thrilled with them that I popped them on and wore them out to lunch with him that afternoon!

Hm as for upcoming news… I have not one but two photo shoots scheduled this coming week so I should have some nice new pics to update the website with soon! I am really looking forward to that because it feels like ages since I have had a chance to freshen the site but I am rather particular about the photos that I’ll use.  Nelson pretty much spoiled me rotten with his fabulous pics and since he passed away last year (wow it’s hard to believe he has been gone a year now), I hadn’t found the right combination of a photographer I liked could afford and feeling like I was ready to be in front of a camera. I had gained a bit of weight when I quit smoking, 19 months ago this week, but I have been working on trimming off some of that and am just about half way to my goal weight but feel good enough that I have decided to get a few pics done.  Maybe it will even help inspire me to keep at it with the diet and exercise routines.

Hm what else? Well, I am enjoying a quiet Sunday alone since Brett is off to a baseball game at Fenway Park with daughter who is a HUGE Red Sox fan.  They will probably stop over for a short nap on their way home late tonight but that leaves me a relaxing day all to myself today! Maybe I should drag out a box of corsets and play fashion show and see what I most want to wear for tomorrow’s photos.  Part of me would love to have some new super fetish shots but part of me also just wants some sexy “softer side of Suze” shots that I can use for my coaching site and some other somewhat vanilla places.  Maybe we can do a little of each, we’ll see how the time goes.  Ok, time for me to grab a snack and move around for a bit. I don’t want to sit at a damn key board all day today! I’d like to get out and enjoy the summer a bit as it draws to a close.  Have a great day all!

In case I haven’t mentioned it lately .. I love rope bondage. And I really love teaching others to tie each other up so this past week was especially wonderful for me because I got to teach not just one but two fun interactive workshops! (Sorry there are no pics from the classes but umm privacy issues and all ya know)

Wednesday evening I went into NYC to teach a 90 minute class for TES (The Eulenspiegel Society) about “Adaptable Bondage”. This class focuses on ties that can be adjusted to fit people of any size, shape or degree of ability. This is a fairly new class for me where I am demonstrating ties that are not exactly classic or traditional.  They are quick and easy bastardized ties that I do every day on my clients (who sadly are not teensy bendy Japanese bondage models). 

I had several people that were brand new to rope so it was tough fitting in everything that I wanted to show them but in general everyone seemed to have a great time. :)  I especially loved some of the thank yous & comments that I received on my feedback sheets and in follow up emails that said that classes like this were greatly needed and that they got more out of this class than any other they had done!  Yay!   That is what makes it all worthwhile for me. 

I of course stayed for the after meeting round table that TES is famous for and it was an pretty interesting discussion centered mostly on “switch” issues and dynamics.   I finally got in around 2 am and spent the next hour or 2 unwinding from the class and the drive.

Then I spent Thurs and Fri prepping my notes and packing up everything I might possibly need for my weekend on Long Island.  My Leather Dave (who is also sometimes Dawn)  had set up a 6 hour bondage workshop at his home out toward the east end of Long Island. He had been trying to get me to come visit on the island for quite awhile and I just couldn’t seem to make the time to do it so he advertised all over the place and drew about a dozen or so people who were mostly new but a few intermediate riggers.  We held the first part of the workshop out on his deck and it turned out to be a beautiful day for it in spite of the rain the night before. By the early afternoon we needed to move off the deck onto blankets on the shaded grass.

I covered a ton of stuff (at least partially thanks to help from my bondage model and teaching assistant Brett)! We started off talking about rigger and bottom motivations and how that can greatly effect the outcome of the scene. We also of course discussed safety and rope selection / care and the 4 basic knots you must know to do bondage: overhand, larks head, half hitch, and square / reef (or hell granny works too in a pinch).

Then we covered my two favorite basic cuffs: the boola boola or japanese cuff (that I like to call the wrap, over, under, tie cuff) and a standing line lark cuff (wrap, hook, change direction, hook, hitch). Hmm guess you had to be there. :)  But once we had those down we played with a tie that combined those two elements that can be used as either a foot or a hand suspension cuff.  

After our lunch break we dove into what I jokingly call the lunch ties that coincidentally also used the same two cuffs I had shown that morning: chicken wing, frog leg and crab leg. From there we covered wrist together ties that were attached to the body low (crotch), middle (hara / waist), high(throat) and then over the head with the hands and using the rest of the rope to do a simple chest harness. I showed them my favorite modification on a hojo jutsu tie that makes a really comfortable hands behind the back harness no matter how flexible or inflexible the intended victim is. :)  Then I showed them how to take that chest tie and turn it into a hog tie that doesn’t put added strain on the wrists! 

Somewhere in there we also did a more traditional shinju that went over the arms as well as the variation that went under the arms for those that needed the more comfortable, more forgiving version. :)  I showed them a few of my other down and dirty tricks and cheats that I use when I am trying to be quick and efficient with the bondage so I can get onto other things as well as one of my favorite pearls; my $1000.00 knot (aka the taut line hitch)!  According to the feedback sheets that was the favorite of a few of them as well).  

All in all it was an amazing day but I was totally exhausted by the time I was done and glad to spend a quiet dinner with my Brett, Dave and his new charge: Sue.  Later on that evening we gave her a bit of special treatment that was quite a treat for us! Slept like a baby with my sweetie and had hoped to hit the beach the next day but it was crappy out so we hugged kissed thanked Dave and parted ways.  I visited my sister and her boyfriend on the way back west and tried to get off the island fairly early. 

I hit the road from Lindenhurst at 1p and spent a good 40 mins stuck in bridge traffic due to the fire damage at the Throgs Neck but got thru that pretty well until I hit a really big mess on the Taconic.  They we diverting all traffic off in both directions and I found out much later on that it was due to a truly tragic accident that involved 8 deaths, four of them young children!!  So as miserable as it was being stuck in yet another traffic jam, the reason why really helped put it in perspective for me. http://www.wcbs880.com/Crash-Kills-Eight/4875339: (  That was so sad and it just makes me wonder how the hell you can have two cars in the same day travel the wrong way down a divided highway!?  How the hell does that happen and what can be done to stop it in the future??

Ughhh anyway, I did finally get home, unpack and unwind a little then went to my buddy Mike’s around the block for a mini workout and a dip in the pool! I really needed to burn and then rinse off some of that stress of sitting so long in traffic.  All in all I had an amazing weekend and I have a tremendous amount of gratitude to so many people for making it so. (thanks everyone!) I wanted to get this update out because this week looks to be pretty busy in the dungeon! (Yay because making money is good too!) Ok time to hit the shower and get ready to play! 

So this month’s rope gathering was fabulous fun! I had a bunch of local friends as well some from New Hamphsire, Connecticut, and NYC come all the way here to sling some rope around and visit with like minded folks. In all I think there were about a dozen here this time of all skill levels although most were more in the intermediate range this time. 

One of the high lights of the day was when my friend Dez of Darkstone NH asked if I would suspend him. 

Although he is quite the dominant and has done a lot of suspension work himself he believes as I do that there is tremendous value in experiencing what something feels like yourself so that you can better understand what the bottom / submissive is feeling.  

We were sure to capture the moment on “film” as this is definitely one of those “no one would believe it if they didn’t see it” moments. :)  Afterwards we threw some burgers and dogs on the grill and had a pot luck barbeque.  It was a really great day and I am very much looking forward to doing it again soon!

Happy summer everyone! Now that the warmer weather is upon us I have been feeling friskier than usual and have decided it is time to see about enticing some more folks out to play professionally and otherwise.  Here are a few of my current thoughts and offerings:

Rope Club Gathering - Last month I held a small gathering (10 people or so) of folks interested in erotic rope bondage. My hope is to offer this on an on-going (monthly) basis so that those  interested in improving their rope bondage skills can get together to practice, share tips and tricks, and in general spend time with other bondage enthusiasts.  The next one will be held on June 21st from 1 - 430p or so.  There is no charge for this event but you are welcome to bring a snack or beverage to share for the break (fruit, cookies etc).  Couples and singles  are welcome but I cannot gaurentee that singles will be partnered up (let alone with a preferred gender) .  This not intended to be a dating service, or play party.  If interested drop me a note to Mistress@SxySadist.com

Here’s the gist: I buy a roll of raffle tickets and offer them to people interested in either live sessions or private lessons at like $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00.  Once I sell $250.00 worth I throw the tickets into a hat (or sexy stilleto heel) and draw the name of a lucky winner. 

I would love it if the idea takes off and I can do it like every other month but I know that every little bit helps so even once a year would be a great start! Shibaricon VI was amazing and as someone who has attended every year since its inception I can honestly say that this event gets better every year!

This was the largest gathering yet with over 600 attendees and 40 instructors teaching more than 90 classes over 4 days. There were all sorts of special events throughout the weekend and of course 3 great nights of dungeon play.

Did we have fun? Hell yeah! I will stop back soon with some more details .. I am still catching up on my sleep and mail and unpacking etc.

I had a blast today doing rope with the folks that came to the first rope club gathering!

In total there were 10 of us which I think actually fit well for the living room. (If we get more in the future we may end up breaking into two groups). It was an interesting mix of people, most of whom were still very new to rope bondage. There were some bright young students from classes I have done at Vassar, one person from the local kink community (another couple had to cancel late due to illness) my new Tantra friend from MA (who drove almost 3 hours to get here) and my buddy and fellow rope enthusiast Murphy Blue (who I will see again at Shibaricon in 2 weeks!) Yayy!

We went over the basic single limb cuff (wrap wrap wrap over under tie) and explored a couple of ways to morph that into other bondages. I am really fond of modular ties that can be adapted and transitioned into others with ease. We also worked on a hojo jutsu inspired tie that can be adapted to people of any size, shape, or flexibility yet is easy to learn and quick to implement.

After a short break we started playing with some Japanese style shinjus or chest ties, also known as a box tie, where the wrists are bound behind the back with a band or two over the nipple / breast line and one or two under. We rifted on that a bit adding a pretty twist tie that cinched the chest ropes as well as one on each side that pulled the diagonal bands off the collar bones. Some of us also played with adding diamond “karadas” from the chest tie down the rest of the torso.

There was a lot of great learning go on, some excellent practice time and all in all a great time was had by all. I plan to try to keep this going on a monthly basis and will post in a couple of weeks as to a date for the June gathering and hope that more rope lovin’ folks will join us.

About a week ago I received a lovely introductory email from a Daka (male Tantra healer) who works primarily with women, who was contacting me because he wanted to learn more about bondage and pain exploration as it relates to moving energy.  I was naturally more than a little intrigued!  I have met other ”het” male practitioners over the years, but very few had any real interest in BDSM and Goddess knows I will take pretty much any opportunity to share rope with people .. especially sexually adventurous and spiritually aware people! 

I offered to meet with him “off the clock” for a relaxed exploration of whatever presented itself.  It was a glorious and delight - filled adventure that spanned approximately 6 hours in all. Yes he was handsome and had a great body, but it was more than his physical self that was attractive… it was his presence.  He was completely in the moment with me as I demonstrated some rope basics for the first 2 hours or so. He was also a very quick study and explained he had had previous rope experience in another capacity which made him quite comfortable with it both in bondage and handling it. But mostly I kept the lessons fairly academic… showing a tie .. letting him practice it, but not delving deep into the experience. I showed him about all he could absorb for one day and we took a bit of a break. 

He was really easy to talk to and I gave me the feeling that I could be open and honest with him so I shared with him about some thing that had been causing me some emotional distress recently and he gave me space to vent and hurt and then offered to do some energy massage work with me. I readily agreed and lay down on my sheepskin and surrendered to his touch.  He was absolutely amazing and I  luxuriated in the warm touch of his skilled hands,  lost in blissful and delightful sensations for nearly 2 hours! I truly wish that everyone could experience that sort of bliss at least once in their lives.

Afterwards I felt renewed and more content than I had for a few weeks and maybe a bit turned on as well and so I decided to throw some rope on my new friend and give him a little bit more intimate look at what I love about rope.  He did well! He is very strong and flexible and he knows how to breathe and dig down to his core for strength and endurance and although I probably was a bit easier on him than need be and stayed at a rather surface level of play .. I had a very good time with that introduction and I think he did too.  I tried a fairly challenging predicament bondage on him and a partial suspension and a bit of a cross limb hog tie sort of thing all mixed in with some sensual and not so sensual touch.   I also made sure to send him home with a couple of cane strikes as a souvenir since his lovely rope marks were fading far too quickly.

We have both agreed that we would enjoy getting together again, I only wish he wasn’t 2.5 hours away. <sigh>  Ahh well, something to look forward to.  In the meantime .. he is a link to his website: Tantrika Lover.  I highly reccomend his services. 

A lot has happened since I stopped by last, so let me try to give you the highlights in a nutshell!

Darkstone- My second trip to New Hampshire was a delight! My friend Dez is a fabulous host and and he definitely took really great care of Brett and me! There was great food including a succulent ham, deviled eggs, carrot cake (all good Easter Fare) and even some sushi (my favorite)! There was a good size gathering of people for both classes even though both topics are rather edgy: “Needle Play the Basics and Beyond” and “Breath and Blood Flow Play”.  After the classes it opened up to a play party and I spent a little time giving some more personal instruction on a couple of ropey things.  Dez did a beautiful side lying suspension on Jillian. He has really thrown himself into learning rope and it is just amazing how good he has gotten in just over a year!  A bit later in the evening he invited me in on a double top scene involving two wonderful ladies.  It was so much fun to co top with him for the first time and to just be in the moment reading their bodies and responding to their energies.  Afterwards I got to suspend and play a little with my sweetheart Brett.  I really love that guy, especially in rope! And the low to the ground suspension has truly become my favorite for obvious reasons to anyone that watched us play. <blush>  :)  Even later on there was a really beautiful fire spinning demo outside on the lawn which was a delight to watch.  There was also a memorable single tail scene where the bottom danced and moved so beautifully at the end of her Master’s whip…it was really just stunning!  And to round off the evening for me I helped dish out some birthday spanks for the lovely Lady D!  Mmmm  what a great night! We slept like stones and then were treated to a delicious Easter Sunday breakfast before the 4 hour trek home. 

Vassar- A few days later I was at Vassar College once again teaching a basic bondage class to the students.  Brett came up from the island just to be there and we took my niece Nadia along so she could meet a few more people in the area her age.  It was a small but enthusiastic crowd and I offered them a nice selection of simple but useful ties.  I even got to use my niece as a bondage model for a few of the ties and Brett snapped this shot of her for her My Space page. I am not sure what photo-shop tool she used to make herself look so ghostly but it was still a fun memory and I asked her not to tell her mom just yet.  :)

When the 3 hour class was drawing to a close I offered to set up a monthly “rope club” to meet in my home where we could continue to practice and build our skills on an on-going basis and got a list of about 10 who said it sounded like fun. Perhaps if interest in that grows I will eventually find a larger venue to hold the class in and open it up to even more area bondage lovers.  If you have any interest in such a one Sunday a month .. drop me a note at Mistress@SxySadist.com

Shibaricon- Hmm, what else? Ohh well speaking of classes that has been a late bit of shuffling for Shibaricon and I have been asked if I would be willing to do my “Binding the Jewels” class (which is one of my favorite classes to teach) so I said yes but dropped one of the two suspension classes I was going to do and am keeping the “Low Flying Suspension” class. Three classes is plenty for me at an event and Diana wants me to still keep the ever popular “Ecstatic Breath” class.  I want to be able to attend as many classes by other presenters as I can too!  I love learning as much as I can about rope from as many people as I am able. Just about everyone I have ever seen teach a rope class has something unique to share, some little thing that they do that is special or different and I just love picking up those sweet little tips and tricks!

AIS COPE- Speaking of classes and events, I have confirmed with Barak & Sheba that I will be attending and presenting at “Adventures in Sexuality - Central Ohio Perversion Excursion” AIS - COPE for short Sept 11 & 12 in Columbus Ohio! I will be doing “Binding the Jewels” and “Learning to Fly - Ecstatic Percussion Play” which is about using your breathing during a corporal play scene to take you higher and further than ever before.
