So I was probably the last person on the planet to get a Twitter account because I wasn’t really convinced that I wanted or needed one, but I guess it could be a great tool to keep interested people up to speed on what I am up to between blog posts. So to that end, I added a widget for it here in the side bar…. I hope some of you find those updates interesting. 

So what have I been up to? Well, it’s been a pretty cool couple of weeks around here for the most part. My niece treated me to a very loud, very noisy concert at The Chance not long ago.  They had quite a few bands including: “Semblence of a Soul”, “Tunnels to Holland”, “Hurt” and ”The Sick Puppies”!  Now I fell in love with The “Puppies” song “All the Same” when it was featured in the “Free Hugs” campaign but I was surprised at how dissimilar the rest of their music was to it and had to admit that I am starting to feel old. 

This really hit home for me when my niece slid down into the mosh pit while I scouted for a comfortable pice of post to lean against.  Honestly, standing in one place for 3 to 4 hours is not my cup of tea anymore, but since The Chance is totally general admission - standing room only you don’t get a lot of choice. I still had a good time and I got to get introduced to a couple of bands I had never heard before which inspired me to check out some other music by “Hurt” in particular and discovered that I actually liked some of it. Maybe I am not that damn old after all huh?

In other news, the last rope gathering was a lot of fun as usual! Once again my friends Paul DaSade & wife cc from CT and Dez & a sweet new gal pal from NH came as well as the fabulous Murphy Blue  with his pair of “kitties” and another fun couple from the local area all came to enjoy some sweet ropey time and share some summer fun and a meal. 

I successfully tried two new suspension ties… well one was a transition from sideways to face down which was a bit less graceful than I had hope but still worked.  The other was a full on inverted ankle suspension which is a particular favorite of mt sweeties but the one that makes me the most nervous of any tie I could do for a couple of reasons.  First, inverted suspension obviously is incredibly dangerous.  If anything at all goes wrong, be it mechanical failure or rigger error, the suspendee is likely to get dropped on their head leading to very serious injury or death. The other issue is if my “victim” happens to pass out (and you would be amazed at how fast a person can get woozy being hung upside down), it would be extremely difficult for me to get them down safely from a full inversion by myself. It is not as simple as cut the rope. So I jokingly asked my buddies Paul & Dez if they’d be willing to help me dispose of the body if it the need arose and they totally agreed.  That’s how you REALLY know who your friends are right?

Anyway, I really love the rope gatherings here but my schedule is looking pretty slammed up for Sept & Oct which means I may not be able to hold another until possibly Nov!  I will post more on the upcoming schedule soon but I ).  

Speaking of hectic schedules, this was a really great week in the dungeon and I had a hell of a lot of fun playing with a couple of new people and a couple of new guys. God I love my job! Hell, if you can get paid to do what you love to do you will never work a day in your life right?

Not to mention that some of my guys bring me the loveliest and most thoughtful gifts! This week my buddy Scott brought me two fabulous pairs of boots.  The lovely leather ones in the photo on the right and a very similar pair in sexy black suede! Mm! I was so thrilled with them that I popped them on and wore them out to lunch with him that afternoon!

Hm as for upcoming news… I have not one but two photo shoots scheduled this coming week so I should have some nice new pics to update the website with soon! I am really looking forward to that because it feels like ages since I have had a chance to freshen the site but I am rather particular about the photos that I’ll use.  Nelson pretty much spoiled me rotten with his fabulous pics and since he passed away last year (wow it’s hard to believe he has been gone a year now), I hadn’t found the right combination of a photographer I liked could afford and feeling like I was ready to be in front of a camera. I had gained a bit of weight when I quit smoking, 19 months ago this week, but I have been working on trimming off some of that and am just about half way to my goal weight but feel good enough that I have decided to get a few pics done.  Maybe it will even help inspire me to keep at it with the diet and exercise routines.

Hm what else? Well, I am enjoying a quiet Sunday alone since Brett is off to a baseball game at Fenway Park with daughter who is a HUGE Red Sox fan.  They will probably stop over for a short nap on their way home late tonight but that leaves me a relaxing day all to myself today! Maybe I should drag out a box of corsets and play fashion show and see what I most want to wear for tomorrow’s photos.  Part of me would love to have some new super fetish shots but part of me also just wants some sexy “softer side of Suze” shots that I can use for my coaching site and some other somewhat vanilla places.  Maybe we can do a little of each, we’ll see how the time goes.  Ok, time for me to grab a snack and move around for a bit. I don’t want to sit at a damn key board all day today! I’d like to get out and enjoy the summer a bit as it draws to a close.  Have a great day all!

Wow I had a really wonderful time yesterday at the Feb Rope Share! First off, spending time with two of my favorite fellow femme dommes was truly marvelous.  Troy is definitely one of my best friends in all the world and I have always enjoyed spending time with Yin as well, so  to spend three hours teaching rope along side them, was a marvelous experience.  We had a fairly small gathering of other pro dommes but I greatly enjoyed meeting them all and sharing some exquisite rope time with them. 

My darling Brett graciously offered his body to me to demo on as I went over some full & partial suspension stuff with two of the ladies while Troy and Yin worked with the others for an hour or so.  Then we took a short break to enjoy a snack and some conversation.  Later on in the afternoon Troy and Yin demoed 2 different arm binder styles on the other two gentlemen demo bottoms who then offered up their genitals for some cock and ball bondage time.  I jumped up to teach my favorite classic CBT tie including the parachute which is always a lot of fun for me!  :)

I had such a good time that I cannot wait until the next share that I will be able to attend but because of other scheduling conflictions and previous commitments that looks like it won’t be until May.  But then that would be cool too because then it will help get me even more pumped and excited about Shibaricon!!   (Wooohooo!!)

Speaking of praising my sisters… I so need to give a very special shout out to my girl Miss Troy Orleans! I know I have mentioned her name here several times but I am ever more grateful and appreciative of our friendship for so many reasons and I truly admire the hell out of her. Honestly, that is saying a LOT because I only even LIKE a handful of the many Dommes I have met over the years.  But Troy is special,  very special.

This weekend she once again opened up her studio to me and allowed me to stay there and I truly value that on many levels.  It is so wonderful to have a comfortable home away from home to go back to at the end of the day during these sort of intensive experiences to just let go of the day.  Here’s the kick .. not only did she travel all the way cross the city from her apartment to meet me to hand off the keys, but I had managed to drop my phone en route from the parking garage to her place and she without hesitation simply dropped everything to go and retrieve it for me so that I could start the session I had booked and still get to the workshop on time to set up. I cannot even express how much that simple act touched my heart.  That is one of those “little” things that really show you who your friends are, you know?

She has countess times shown me big and small appreciations that go above the call of professional courtesy and let me tell you, this lady is truly a class act.  Not only is she classically and truly beautiful physically but she has a beautiful soul and spirit.  She is also incredibly intelligent, modest, polite (which I sadly find to be a unique quality among too many of my colleagues) and I am always impressed by the level of seriousness and devotion she applies to developing her craft and her skills and a dominant and yet never from an arrogant or pompous place of superiority or ego. I have co topped with her a few times and I adore how fun she is to play with and we just have a frigging blast together but pity the poor fool that takes us both on.   

I also absolutely love how down to earth and real she is and that she does not take herself too damn seriously so I always feel I can be myself in her presence.  We have shared intimate moments, deep conversations, and been there for each other during emotional times. I really love her and am truly proud to be her friend.  I honestly cannot say enough good things about her and if you are in NYC and want to book a session with a truly wonderful Domina and great human being, give her a call and tell her Suze says: “Hiya!”

So I spent a rainy morning lazing in bed, feeling grateful for a day off to totally relax but missing my sweetheart a bit.  I guess it is a good sign that I still miss him after spending seven days & nights together.  I think the saddest moment of the week for me was watching him crawl into a cab to head to his airport while I sat waiting for a shuttle bus to take me to mine.

Yeah I know I will see him again next weekend so it isn’t the end of the world, but it is hard sometimes to go from having him so close for so many days and then nothing.  I have grown very accustomed to being with him and I miss him when he goes home.  I love falling asleep in his arms and then waking up to find him pattering quietly about already placing a perfect cup of Earl Grey tea beside me.  It isn’t that he is a doting subbie boy that I love, in fact I don’t see him that way at all, but I do love the way he shows how much he cares for me in so many sweet little ways. 

More on that another day… for now .. let’s get back to “rope space” because I am also missing the camaraderie of my “rope clan”.  Shibaricon is without a doubt my favorite event of the year and there are many folks like Mark, & Lani (pictured below) and my friend Aleni of DV8 House Australia) that I only get to see  at this event. 

There were a ton of fabulous shots taken at the event by photographer David Lawrence and his lovely assistant and slave Judy.    He released a few photos to me including this one of me and my sweetheart taken early in the weekend.

As for making connections, this year I was especially glad to make the acquaintance of the Two Knotty Boys who made it to Shibaricon for the first time! If you have been into bondage for more than a week and have ever searched for bondage vids on Youtube you know who Dan & JD are! I was thrilled to have Dan stop by my Low Flying Suspension Class and tell me how much he enjoyed it and then later on at a presenter meeting I made a point of thanking them for their videos because I do truly admire and appreciate the effort that they put into them.  I also respect the fact they they are providing quality bondage material to 1000s of people that would not otherwise have access to it.  Check out some of their awesome videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/2KnottyBoys

I am also really glad that I got to spend more time with Leon & his lovely assistant Cherry.  I have seen them in the halls and in passing almost every one of my seven trips to Chicago and never really had the opportunity to visit and get to know them but this time we finally  an opportunity to head out of the hotel and grab a bite together. 

I also got to sit down and chat to Max of BondageLessons.com  over a strawberry daiquiri at the end of the event and found him to be a very charming man as well. He extended an invitation to Seattle that I am going to work on taking him up on hopefully in the next year or so.  I have heard fabulous things about his classes and as much as I know about bondage I never tire of watching another artist at work and I simply love picking up tips and tricks from fellow rope enthusiasts.  

Which is exactly why I love Shibaricon so much!  Rope lovers from all over the world come to Chicago to share their passion and their expertise with each other!  But don’t take my word for it .. check out what some of my fellow presenters and rope loving Mistress’ had to say:

Wow! I had such an amazing time at Paddles last Friday night doing my new “Ecstatic Caning Class”! for DomsubFriends  The house was absolutely packed and it was great so see so many of my dear friends come out to support me and have a good time.  I started with some general basics about caning but quickly moved into the real point of the class which was the use of breath to connect and help the bottom to manage pain and I think a lot of people really understood why I placed so much emphasis on the use of breath when I play. 

My demo bottom and partner in crime “Kate” aka The Riverdale Goddess looked absolutely beautiful and although she had never been caned before so took to it like a trooper and we breathed together and connected wonderfully and soon she was high as a kite!  She was truly amazing and after our demo several other people wanted to try a bit both top and bottom. 

One young male submissive in particular caught my eye and this boy and I had one hell of a play scene afterwards!! Like holy cow .. what an amazing pain tolerance! By the time I was through he truly was a “work of Art” and was sporting some spectacular coloring on his thighs in particular. Mmmm drool slurp! 

I was completely spent by the time I got over to my friend Miss Troy Orleans’ Studio where I was spending the night and slept like a stone.  She has a really wonderful space and the next morning’s suspension class with her and her friend went splendidly. I REALLY like Troy and as I drove home I thought to myself that I would really like to see her again soon… well it happened sooner than I thought!

Once I arrived home there was this lovely invitation in my mail box from my friend Teeni Dakini who teaches Tantra classes in NY:

My men’s group will be having their final class on Sunday, July 15th. Yes they are “graduating” from three, 3hour classes dedicated to learning about the feminine, honoring the feminine, serving the feminine, communicating with the feminine…. that’s a lot of feminine! But they’ve been sitting in the room with me the whole time. For the last class I like to do something really special! I’m wondering if you’d be interested in coming in and blessing these men in the final ritual. These men that have worked so hard, that are very courageous in wanting to learn and being willing to ask questions, share their thoughts and embrace something new. They don’t know you are coming.

Here’s how it works:

In the final minutes of the class, I have the men sit in a circle with their eyes closed. When they open their eyes, a goddess (that’s you) is standing before them. I lead you through some very simple exercises of blessing them and thanking them. I lead you in what to say and do the whole time, so there is nothing to worry about. This is a very moving experience for the men. Sometimes your very presence cracks them right open and there are tears. Sometimes this is their first “conscious” connection experience with seeing the divine in a woman– it’s a very special surprise for them and a great way to end the class. Thank you, this is such a HUGE gift to these beautiful men, and I very much appreciate it!

How could I turn down an offer to be a Goddess to such wonderful men?? So I popped back into my car and headed back into the city for Sunday night and I was waiting outside for the appropriate time to slip into the class when I was absolutely delighted when I saw Troy come strolling up the sidewalk! She has gotten the same invitation and couldn’t pass it up either.  It was such a sweet ritual and it was so beautiful to see the impact that it had on these wonderful men.

Afterwards, Troy and I and one of the men who I also knew from the lifestyle,  headed out for a bite to eat and a bit of social time.  It was a really fabulous weekend and Teeni invited me to the next Sunday night’s tantra gathering so I will be off to NYC yet again for more sexy fun adventures!
