Just 5 clicks of your mouse and you're done ... 
1. Go to your desktop. It's the screen with
all your icons on it.
2. Right click on a blank section of your
desktop screen. A small window will come up.

3. Left click on "Properties". A
"Display Properties" window will come up.
4. Click "Settings" on the top far
right of the "Display Properties" window.

5. On the bottom right of the window (screen
area) you will probably see 800 by 600 or 640 by 480 pixels

6. Slide the slider to the right till it displays
1024 by 768 pixels.
7. Click "Apply" then click "OK".

A "Display Properties" window will
come up.

8. Click "OK"
Your screen will go black. Don't freak out.
In a few seconds, it will return but everything will be
smaller.
9. You will be prompted to save current settings.
Click "Yes"

Everything will now seem much smaller. Don't
worry. You will get used to it
and wonder how you ever lived within the confines of 800
by 600 pixels. 
Changing your text size
Now that you have your screen settings set
for 1024x768 you may feel the text size is a little smaller
than youd like. NO PROBLEM! Follow these simple instructions
to adjust the text size to your liking:
Internet Explorer:
Select View from the command line
at the top of the screen. Then select Text Size
from the drop down menu. You can choose among five different
text sizes smallest to largest. Try them all and
see which one you like best!
Netscape Navigator:
Select View from the command line
at the top of the screen. Then select either increase
font or decrease font until you find one
you like.
