Music is in my blood!

While I may not be able to play any instruments myself, many of you know that I am a HUGE music lover! Although much of the music I enjoy might not be considered “age appropriate” for someone my age, I believe it helps keep me young at heart. This month, I’m heading to Miami, Florida, to celebrate my 63rd birthday on the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise! I am incredibly excited about this vacation and the fantastic lineup. While I’m most looking forward to seeing “We the Kings” again, I also love Silverstein, Escape the Fate, and Daisy Grenade. There’s no better way to spend my birthday than cruising, dancing, and soaking up some sunshine!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve used music to lift my spirits, process sadness, and even release some anger (hello, screamo tracks!). Even more, I’ve cherished the exhilarating feeling of live concerts since my teenage years when I dated a bass player who would sneak me into bars to hear his band play. I definitely gave my parents a run for their money!

Recently, I came across a video by Gabe Martinelli, who I absolutely adore for his upbeat and positive energy. It truly resonated with me and explained why I feel so energized at music festivals and concerts. I encourage you to check it out!
