Summer is winding down …

And what an amazing summer this was!!  I went to a bunch of concerts with my boyfriend, niece and godchild, which I totally LOVE!  I saw Zac Brown Band, & Kidz Bop Kids (don’t judge, someone special to me LOVED that show) atBethel Woods – the site of the original Woodstock festival!  I  saw Heart, Cheap Trick & Joan Jett (like wow!) Eddy Izzard (brilliant comedian) and then Tribe Society, Collective Soul and the Goo goo dolls (two bands I really like!)!  Ohh and did I mention 4 of those shows were in one week?  Yeah, that was a little insane. Lots of driving, lots of loud music and definitely a lot of fun but I needed to catch up on some serious sleep afterwards. LOL

Two of thse shows were at Jones Beach which was always my favorite place to see a show when I was growing up on Long Island.  (I LOVE that Joan Jett changed the name to “Joan’s beach” for the night)  My niece (who went to both of those with me) and I spent the day at the beach both days, swam, walked around, caught Pokemon and then went to the show.  It was wonderful!

I had Six Flags season passes again this year (not too surprising since I’ve had those like 5 years in a row now) and so theres been a bunch of coasters and water park days mixed in there. <grin>

Just last week my sweetie and I and two members of my extended family spent 4 days / three nights at one of the “resort” properties ten short mins from the Lake George beach front area. I really like it there; it’s clean and really beautiful, the locals are super friendly and very helpful, and it is simply a great place for a relaxing, well deserved and much needed “family” get away.

Of course, I tend to get bored with too much relaxation so I made sure to add just enough excitement to keep myself and my favorite kid totally stoked with her first parasailing adventure! My sweetie and I had done that once before while we were in Key West earlier this year so our guide this time around volunteered us to go first – lol! I didn’t mind and the kid totally LOVED it!

I also did some geocaching, mini golf, a lot of walking and of course one of the beautiful 2 hour lake cruises. We plan to go back in Oct for Canadian Thanksgiving, and of course I will be traveling from Sep 3 – 16. (More on that soon!)

Next week is booking quickly at this point and then I will be off the grid entirely until I return in mid September so if you’d like to visit, email me asap.
