My First 5K Fundraiser for Charity

I have been walking nearly 5 miles a day for the last three months. I may not do it fast, but I am planning to do the 3rd Annual Little Guild Run & Wag 5K race on Oct 15 at 11am.

I am raising money for the Little Guild of St Francis who take care of lots of wonderful animal including a sweet pibble named Lucky.

pibbleLucky came to their shelter as a skinny, scared dog. He had been hit by a car and his injuries never treated. He is now lame.

He is covered in scars from bite wounds, the result of either being used as a bait dog for dog fighting, which means he was used to practice on, or from being attacked when living as a stray.

Lucky will need ongoing care to support his arthritis and pain management issues.

They need to raise money to care for him and take in other abused, neglected and abandoned dogs.

Thanks for caring about Lucky.
