Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hey there – I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and tell you all that I am thinking of you tonight. I am enjoying a lovely quiet day alone with my sweetheart and all my critters and am feeling grateful to NOT be in a car for 5 – 6 hours of the day, since the last three days were centered around very long travel days. On Monday we went to Buffalo in spite of their historic lake effects snow storm for a concert! It was the last concert on the books for 2022 and it was one that the kid had REALLY been looking forward to seeing because Pierce the Veil is one of their absolute favorite bands! I will admit to watching the crowd and the surfers carefully, wondering if THIS was going to be my chance to finally surf to the barricade and I also saw at least a half dozen people get dropped and my better judgement kicked in and decided to chill out and not get dropped on my head over 6 hours from home. 🙂

Then Tuesday morning we hit Niagara Falls for a couple hours before trekking home. I totally loved the message my hubby had to welcome me home by the way. LOL! Tuesday night when we got to my house there was news that one of the bf’s family members was ill and that was potentially putting some travel plans my Godchild and the BF were counting on in serious jeopardy because they didn’t have a ride soooo ,,, I drove from here to Dover to get them and then their BF drove to Saratoga in my car and I drove back last night. Yeah that was a lot of car time so I am delighted to be mostly relaxing today.

This morning I ran a live 5k on the treadmill and managed my personal best in spite of no real training leading up to this and eating a bunch of junk on my road trips :-/ It was a “Turkey Trot” that iFit broadcast live on my treadmill from South Carolina. The timing is always a bit difficult to calculate on those because they start the time and the distance when the video starts so they include some of the walking the trainers do as they approach the start line but I warmed up a bit before hand and then overrode the speed once the video started so I could see how fast I could get to my 3.1 miles! 39 mins is 2 mins faster than my last one… so yay me!! Then I sat and vegged the rest of the dang day. 🙂

Anyhow, Brett and I will be doing our family gathering on Saturday and feel blessed to have 5 of my favorite family members joining us for the day and I am very excited to see everyone. I am grateful for so many things today… like SO MANY things…. and among those things I count being able to spend time with so many of you. I hope you are all having a truly wonderful holiday and I wish you all the joy, health and prosperity you could ever want. 🙂 Always!
